The date is set for the book launch of Marlow Brown: Scientist in the Making. If you are free on Sunday 13th October at 2.30pm, please come to ‘Bricks4Kidz’ in Blackburn South (Melbourne) and help me celebrate the launch of my first book!
It’s a family-friendly event (it’s a children’s book after all), so rather than champagne and long, boring speeches, there’ll be short, interesting speeches (well, that’s the plan), and a science-based lego challenge for the children, plus a few give-aways and prizes and a tasty afternoon tea. Oh, and the opportunity to buy a copy of the book, of course, have it signed, meet both the author (that’s me) and the illustrator (Marjory Gardner), as well as catch up with friends, or make new ones. (So that’s quite a lot of multi-age activity happening all in the one spot. I hope you can come!)
Bricks4Kidz is a lego workshop at 126 Canterbury Road so do please bring your children or grandchildren (or your neighbour’s children), especially if you think they might also enjoy finding out about Marlow Brown.
The event is free, but booking is essential as space is limited, so please let me know if you are coming and how many adults and children you’ll be bringing.
RSVP to register by 10th October by emailing me at contact@kestafleming.com.
See you there!
Kesta
PS I’m including the ‘Bricks4Kidz’ logo below, so you know what signage to look for on the day. The manager, Derick Chong, who is generously hosting the event at his lego workshop, will also be there to help with lego activities.
